Sea Shepherd crew in the Faroe Islands experienced one of their most difficult days on this campaign on July 5th, when two grinds happen on the same day. If these are hard images to look at for a few seconds on a screen, you can imagine what it’s like for them to experience it in person. While our team on and off the islands work tirelessly to bring this tradition to an end, it’s important to acknowledge the helplessness felt by those witnessing it firsthand. But they stay because they know how important it is to foster connections with the locals and offer our support to those who might feel more emboldened to speak out against the grind in their own community.
